About Rhea Redivo
I completed my Masters in Social Work at UBC-Okanagan in 2009. As a highly empathic therapist, I am skilled at providing a safe and accepting environment for my clients to explore their challenges and embrace healing and growth. I believe that learning and change are a life-long process, and am passionate about collaborating with clients to identify and achieve their goals, whatever they may be. In line with my holistic, strengths-based, and client-centred values, I draw on a wide range of approaches to meet my clients' needs, such as mindfulness, humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural (CBT), narrative, and family systems, along with an understanding of how the brain works in terms of its neurobiology. Over the past 20 years, I have helped clients address a variety of issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, addictions, and abuse, as well as the general challenges related to life transitions, grief/loss, parenting, relationships, and separation/divorce. More recently, I have become passionate about helping Highly Sensitive People to understand the trait and how it manifests in their lives, and to develop strategies to manage life and relationships. Specialized training includes the Gottman approach and Emotionally Focussed Therapy and, while I am not certified in either, I apply some of their strategies and tools in my work. Regardless of the challenges you’re facing, my goal as a counsellor is to walk with you on your journey, gently guiding and supporting you as you navigate challenges and move forward with hope, new skills and a fresh perspective.
