About Rhea Redivo

I completed my Masters in Social Work at UBC-Okanagan in 2009.  As a highly empathic therapist, I am skilled at providing a safe and accepting environment for my clients to explore their challenges and embrace healing and growth. I believe that learning and change are a life-long process, and am passionate about collaborating with clients to identify and achieve their goals, whatever they may be.  In line with my holistic, strengths-based, and client-centred values, I draw on a wide range of approaches to meet my clients' needs, such as mindfulness, humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural (CBT), narrative, and family systems, along with an understanding of neurobiological research. Over the past 19 years, I have helped clients address a variety of issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, addictions, and abuse, as well as life transitions, grief/loss, parenting challenges, relationship issues, and separation/divorce. More recently, I have become passionate about helping Highly Sensitive People to understand the trait and how it manifests in their lives, and to develop strategies to manage life and relationships. I have also had training in Emotionally Focussed Therapy and, while I am not certified, I apply some of its principles in my work. Regardless of the challenges you’re facing, my goal as a counsellor is to walk with you on your journey, gently guiding and supporting you as you navigate challenges and move forward with hope, new skills and a fresh perspective.

About our Intern: Brent Rowland

Over my varied life and career, I have learned that our ability to change and grow is ever-present.  I believe we can simultaneously celebrate our strengths while remaining open to discovering areas where life can improve.  Through my own life experiences and the studies in my Masters of Counselling Psychology program, I have found a passion for seeking the best possible version of myself and supporting others on their journey to seeking the same.  We all have our unique life paths and sometimes need collaboration, an outside perspective, and encouragement to reach our goals.  I seek to create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe healing environment where opportunities for growth can be discovered.   I have years of experience helping others to develop healthy emotional regulation techniques as well as supporting people to overcome their addictions, life challenges, and traumatic events.  My preferred techniques include humanistic, psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) modalities, and my goal is to accompany you on a journey of self-discovery, which begins with the courageous first step of seeking help.  As we navigate our lives, we must embrace our internal compass guiding us out of challenges towards cultivating peace within.
